The battery housing located at the back of the non-slip head strap can be powered by three AAA alkaline batteries (included) or be upgraded to operate on a COAST ZITHION-X™ rechargeable battery (sold separately)
A rear-facing safety signal on the back of the battery housing shines in solid red or flashing red with its own on/off switch so that co-workers, passersby, or others can spot you easily in the dark
